Annette Meisl was born in the South of Germany, in a little town called Rheinfelden. Her penchant for multitasking was already apparent in her school days: Head girl, violinist, journalist and, at some point, high school diploma. Escape from the provinces to even more southerly climes. In the south of France, aupair girl and medical internship, then hitchhiking to Madrid with her violin under her arm. Three years of street music, film extras and all kinds of adventures in the middle of the Movida Madrilena, the Spanish "bohemian" scene. Back in Germany, she toured with her own music group Arrabal and was one of the triggers for the boom in Argentinian tango, which continues in Germany to this day. She later founded the international artists' agency La Gala, wrote, produced and toured theater plays halfway around the world, founded the Cuban cigar manufacturer La Galana and wrote the scandalous book "Five Men for Me", which she presented on the most important talk shows on German television, such as Markus Lanz, Plasberg, Nachtcafé and others. This second version of the book includes a foreword by Cologne investigative journalist Günter Wallraff, who places the text in a socio-critical context. Today, Annette Meisl lives in Cologne, Germany. Since 2023, Annette Meisl has also been publishing under the pseudonym Ana Galana in the genre "historical novels". Her first publication is called "The Secret of the Cigar Queen", which she presented to a large audience as a singer and author in a major stage show at the Volksbühne Cologne and at different Festivals in Latinamerica .
